Revival Itinerary

As we pray and fast together, know that YOU are being prayed for and fasted for. I pray that God gives you clarity and insight as you hunger and thirst for His Righteousness, and I pray that according to the Word of God, you will be satisfied as you come to drink and eat at the table of the Lord!

I’d like to give you an “itinerary” of what we’re praying for through the first 7 days. Each morning, ready the associated mini devotion. I believe the Spirit of God will unite our hearts and make Himself more present among us as we seek His Kingdom and His purposes! I believe there is power in praying the Word of God to the Word of God! So, the Spirit has revealed different Scriptures to pray each day.

Our theme Scripture is Matthew 7:7-8 which PROMISES “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Day 1: Monday: we pray for REVIVAL and for believers and for our nation; to have ears to hear the voice of God and eyes to see His Kingdom. Confessing our own need to be revived, and praying Matthew 7:7-8, Matthew 11:15, and Ezekiel 37:1-14

Day 2: Tuesday: we continue from yesterday and add praying for believers in other countries to have the same Spirit of Revival to win this WORLD back to be humble before our Lord, and to join us in prayer by the power of the Spirit of God. Praying Matthew 7:7-8, Ezekiel 37:1-14, 2 Chronicles 7:14, and Romans 8:26-27.

Day 3: Wednesday: we pray that the lost will become healed of their spiritual blindness to see their need for Salvation, and see that Salvation comes from the ONLY begotten Son, in Jesus who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Confessing our own blindness and that of our nation, we pray Matthew 7:7-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.

Day 4: Thursday: we pray for the spirit of sex in our culture would be BOUND that gender mis-identity would be bound and the God’s identity on each individual would be released. We pray against trafficking, against lust after children, and against sexual impurity of any kind. God is the only One who can change a heart. He is El Ohim, which means Creator God, and by Him we confess that our created identity is in Him and we pray Matthew 7:7-8, Ephesians 4:18-19, Romans 1:20-32, John 6:37-40, and Ezekiel 36:26.

Day 5: Friday: we continue praying as we did yesterday, and add that the spirit of lust and perversion be bound by the power of Christ, and in its place we release the Spirit and burning passion for Christ! By His authority we confess our own desires for other things that satisfy us (tv, comfort, money) as individuals and as a nation, and pray Matthew 7:7-8, Ezekiel 14:6, Ephesians 5:3, 10; and Proverbs 3:32.

Day 6: Saturday: we pray to bind the spirit of pride against God and release humility. We confess our own pride and self-righteousness, and that of our nation. We repent and by His Name pray Matthew 7:7-8 and Proverbs 3:34.

Day 7: Sunday: we pray against the spirit of division in families, churches, etc. and release the fruit of the Spirit. By His power we confess our own faults and those of our nation that cause us to quarrel and strife with others; that prevent us from truly loving our neighbors as ourselves. We pray Matthew 7:7-8, Matthew 12:25, Galatians 5:22-23, and 1 Peter 4:8.

Let’s confess the sins of our own hearts and our nation (Nehemiah 1:6). Are you ready to begin? Put on your armor (Ephesians 6) and let’s fight together!

Day 1, Monday:

Today, we pray for REVIVAL!

About a month ago, my husband had been preparing to speak in our children’s service at church, and God gave him a revelation: “Without revelation, repentance, and reverence, there can be no revival.”

It is God who gives the revelation.

It is God who gives the knowledge and wisdom that lead to repentance.

It is God who, through His wisdom, teaches reverence.

Therefore, it is God who gives revival!

Today, we pray for revelation: to be healed from our own spiritual blindness and deafness.

Today, we pray for repentance: to be so pure in heart that any sin (even our own) repulses us, causing us to seek His grace and goodness.

Today we pray for reverence: to not be so familiar with the name “God” that we lose sight of who He Is: The I Am, El Shadday (The Almighty), El Roi (The God Who Sees Me), Yahweh (Lord), Esh Oklah (Consuming Fire), Hashem (The Name), Qedosh Yisrael (Holy One of Israel).

Today we pray for revival: to be brought back to LIFE in Christ. As God called dead bones to life, as God raised Lazarus from the dead, and as God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, SO ARE WE raised from death in our sins to LIFE in Christ!

Today, we confess our own deadly shortcomings to our Gracious Father whose heart is ALWAYS tender toward His children. We also begin confessing the shortcomings of our nation, praying our theme verse: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

And also praying for God to give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us; how is He stirring our hearts to pray? “Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Matthew 11:15

Day 2, Tuesday:

Today, we are praying for our brothers and sisters in other countries (some are literally imprisoned and tortured for sharing anything of Christ). America is “tolerating” Believers right now, and without battling in prayer against demonic spirits of oppression and the spirit of the anti-Christ, America will easily be next to torture or abuse Believers.

The Spirit of God is not only omnipresent (everywhere at every time), but He is omnipotent (all knowing) as well. All-knowing is not limited to this day, here and now, but it is a timeless knowledge, as the Holy Spirit of God is part of the Trinity of God. He was there at the beginning, and is The End. He is part of the Was, Is, and Is Coming – all at one time!

Today we pray that the Spirit of God would encourage, strengthen, and give endurance to Believers across our country and around the world. For their hearts to ache for revival as ours do! Let us be one voice, praying in one accord, for the progression of the Word of God whose Word is ABLE to break strongholds, rip chains, demolish arguments, free those captive in sin and its damaging effects, and give us tender, merciful hearts.  We pray against the spirit of hatred for God’s people, and for people to be drawn to God!

Today, let’s confess our own sins of not always letting God fully into our hearts to change us from the inside out. Let’s confess the sins of our nation that hates God, and declare that we want to see God and have Him REBUILD our hearts, just as he rebuilt His temple so many times for Israel in the Old Testament.  Today, we pray:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

We pray for conviction: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

We pray for soft hearts: “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”

Ezekiel 11:19

We pray for forgiveness: “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

We pray together: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27

Day 3, Wednesday:

I pray you’ve been pressing in to God, who promises to make Himself found by you as you seek Him!  Today, we pray for the lost and those who are far from God to be redeemed! We pray for God to heal them of their spiritual blindness, and reveal His Truth: that He is The Way, The Truth, The Life — not A way, but THE way to the Father, THE way to Salvation, THE first among the resurrection of the dead! He is THE ONLY God who COMES TO US, rather than requiring we jump through hoops to try to get to Him, He calls us, He enters into the sheep pen, and leads us to His peaceful green pasture and He restores our souls!

Today, we confess our own blindness: our own sins of trying to lead ourselves, trying to be lord over our own lives. We confess the same sins of our nation, and pray our theme verse again “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

We pray for our selves and our nation to believe: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

And “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

And we pray our coworkers, friends, family, government rulers to become spiritually seeing to see: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Day 4, Thursday:

Today, we pray for the spirit of sex in our culture to be BOUND, that gender mis-identity would be bound, and that God’s identity on each individual would be released.

We pray against trafficking, against lust after children, and against sexual impurity of any kind. God is the only One who can change a heart. He is El Ohim, which means Creator God, and by Him we confess that our created identity is in Him!

We pray the promise of God: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8

We pray for new hearts: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

We pray God’s Light will illuminate evil: “They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.” Ephesians 4:18-19

We pray the Word that leads us to repent of our own stubbornness: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for [idols]. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.”

Romans 1:20-24 (additional reading through verse 32)

We pray that ALL of God’s children will remain in Him: “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:37-40

Notes:

Day 5: Friday:

Today, we continue praying as we did yesterday, and add that the spirit of lust and perversion also be bound by the power of Christ!  As these demons are bound, they leave a void. We pray in the empty place, Holy Spirit and burning passion for Christ will be released! By The authority of Jesus, we confess our own desires for other things that satisfy us (tv, comfort, money) as individuals and as a nation. Nothing on this earth, nothing in this reality that we see, and nothing on this side of heaven comes CLOSE to the value of heaven!

We pray Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.” (TPT) – we are asking for REVIVAL, we are seeking God’s Truth, and knocking on the door of America’s hearts!

We pray Ezekiel 14:6, “Therefore, say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord God says: Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your detestable things.” HCSB – we repent of our own detestable things (idols, lifestyle, what have you) and REPENT- resting solely on God, who is ALL WE NEED!

Ephesians 5:3, 8, 10; “But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints.  For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light —discerning what is pleasing to the Lord.” HCSB – we praise God for His Salvation and mercy over our own lives, and pray to walk the way He has instructed us, as we also pray for conviction of those around us to follow what God has said!

We pray Proverbs 3:32 “for the devious are detestable to the Lord, but He is a friend to the upright.” HCSB – we pray that God will make us upright, and expose the ways of the devious to give them opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus!

Day 6: Saturday:

Today, we pray to bind the spirit of pride against God. This is a big one!! Every act of disobedience, every sin, is rooted in pride against God! We are ALL guilty of this each time we say “No” to Him, we say “Yes” to our enemy – His enemy – and tell God that our ways are better!  In what ways are you too proud to be used by God? In this large empty space left behind by the upheaval of our pride, we release humility. We confess our own pride and self-righteousness, and that of our nation.

We repent and by His Name pray Matthew 7:7-8 “Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” HCSB and Proverbs 3:34 “He mocks those who mock, but gives grace to the humble.” HCSB

Day 7: Sunday

Wow what a week it has been!  We have been part of God’s powerful Master Plan this week, as we pray for a REBIRTH of our world! I heard it said recently that the church should “get with the times”.  Which part of the Bible do you think satan recommends we should ignore? Remember: even satan knows scripture – he manipulates it. However, we know that God doesn’t change, we know that we do change: how many times do you change your clothes throughout the day, or realize that what you brought for lunch isn’t actually what you feel like eating at all?!  You cannot come to the Bible with your opinions, and battle out who is right. You bring the Bible to your opinions, and let your heart be changed! Because of our PRIDE and SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, which we have BOUND (yesterday), we have introduced DIVISION among us.

Today, we pray against the spirit of division in families, churches, etc. and release the fruit of the Spirit that unites us in love. By His power we confess our own faults and those of our nation that cause us to quarrel and strife with others; that prevent us from truly loving our neighbors as ourselves, and prevent us from being a true and faithful witness to how BLESSED it is to follow The Way of Christ! Do you live your life in a way that makes following Jesus look like fun?

We ask, seek, and knock! Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

We don’t pretend to know who is divided (that’d be judging, and we’re not the judge), but we declare the truth of Matthew 12:25, “Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” ESV – Lord, reveal our personal divisions against you! We bind up the divisions in our church and Nation that cause each of us to believe that we are more important at one time or another, when YOU ALONE are the Only One Who matters!

According to Your Word, Galatians 5:22-23, and by Your Authority, Lord, we release “the fruit of the Spirit [which] is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” ESV

“Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.” 1 Timothy 4:15-16 ESV  Lord, not by our own doing, but by Your grace are we saved. Help us to practice Your Love to others, so we can spread Your beauty and be Your Hands and Feet without grumbling!

1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”

Revival Week 2 Prayer Guide

I pray you’ve felt an awakening of the Holy Spirit inside yourself as you pray for revival for others as well as for your own heart, family, and church community! What a gift from God- what a SPIRITUAL BLESSING!! I pray you’ve pressed through the inevitable “head-on collisions” with our enemy, remember: what God calls you to do, He will lead you through! Last week was tough! I was sick all week, lost my hearing in one ear for almost an entire day, had a problem with my car, it goes on, BUT GOD IS BIGGER than my enemy’s old, stale, washed up attempts to stop the plans of Christ! Satan has NO NEW IDEAS! “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9 Satan is under the sun, and we’re under the sun, BUT GOD IS NOT UNDER THE SUN THAT HE MADE BY HIS POWER!! That SAME POWER OF THE SPIRIT IS IN YOU! “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 ESV (emphasis mine 🤗). We don’t shy AWAY from this POWER- it is a GIFT, but we must USE it. Let God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven – there are no weak ones in heaven – only powerful believers! So, let’s up the ante, and press in, dig deep for the last 7 days, and declare to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth!

Day 8, Monday:

I pray you’ve felt an awakening of the Holy Spirit inside yourself as you pray for revival for others as well as for your own heart, family, and church community! What a gift from God- what a SPIRITUAL BLESSING!! I pray you’ve pressed through the inevitable “head-on collisions” with our enemy, remember: what God calls you to do, He will lead you through! Last week was tough when it comes to spiritual attacks, BUT GOD IS BIGGER than my enemy’s old, stale, washed up attempts to stop the plans of Christ! Satan has NO NEW IDEAS! “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9 Satan is under the sun, and we’re under the sun, BUT GOD IS NOT UNDER THE SUN. HE MADE THE SUN BY HIS POWER!!

Let’s pray for people’s hearts to be TURNED BACK to Christ! For Gomer, the adulteress whom we epitomize when we say no to God, to be purchased again by the life-changing, redeeming love-encounter with Christ! When we turn to Christ, we are NEVER the same! Our old life is in the grave and our new life is resurrected in Christ!

We continue praying Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.” TPT

Day 9, Tuesday:

Regardless of “who you voted for”, “who you agree with”, “which political person you think is smarter”, etc, we are instructed to pray! Our Nation’s leaders make decisions today that will affect how we live 6 months from now. These decisions will affect how our children, grand-children, nieces, and nephews experience their day-to-day lives.  Protests and riots SELDOM BRING the exact outcome desired.  They often bring about AWARENESS to a problem, but they have never been counted as a “solution”, more as a means to an end. BUT WE HAVE POWER! Our power is a gift and it is PRAYER, and OUR PRAYER IS EFFECTIVE!!!

We pray for our nation’s leaders, state leaders, local leaders to honor God with their decision making, with their lives, with their work, and to humble themselves to the Authority of God!

Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

Jeremiah 29:7, “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” ESV The City God has sent us to is the city we work in, the one we live in, the one we “do community in”! How has your community changed by having you as a neighbor?!

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” ESV God, we want to do what pleases you!

James 5:16 “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” ESV

Day 10, Wednesday:

Do you remember being taught about “opposites”? Opposites attract, Opposite Day at school was always a crowd pleaser, and opposites were always easy to find: the opposite of black is white, the opposite of a smile is a frown, and the opposite of hate is love, right? Maybe not… IF the opposite of love is hate, then that means that the opposite of Christ would be Satan – because there is no hate in Christ and there is no love in satan. However, to put them in the same category definitely limits our comprehension of Christ: Christ’s power is INFINITE, satan does have an end, and his end IS COMING! Christ’s LOVE is limitless, leaving 99 to find the 1, preparing a way for me, lighting my path, fighting battles while I sleep, cutting off the head of Goliath while I’m picking up rocks in the river by faith, making the rough places ahead of me smooth (Zephaniah 4:7)! Satan LOSES every time he tries to fight against God, because they are no match – they are not “polar opposites”, like some teach, Christ is in a category all His OWN!!!

I don’t know what the opposite of the love of Christ is, but I do know what Jesus warned us of the symptoms of not possessing it: one of those symptoms is anger, which is the root of murder. One of the Ten Commandments cautions is not to murder. I’m proud to say I’ve successfully not murdered any person, but I do have a fair number of bugs and creepy crawly things that have succumbed to my destructive power… BUT CHRIST came and points out that it’s NOT ENOUGH not to murder! We have to not ever even get angry!! As I type this, it’s early on a Saturday, and I’ve kind of already gotten… irritated. Nothing major, just minor wrenches in what I thought my morning would look like, so I’m already messing up!! The point of Jesus’ teachings is to PROVE OUR NEED FOR HIM!! So today, we pray against the demonic spirit of anger, which Christ reveals leads to murderous thoughts. We pray that the Love Power of Holy Spirit is released according to the Word of God in Colossians 3:14. And not just for ourselves, but for our NATION! We pray for our nation to wake up to the love of God, for their eyes to be unveiled to see the Glory of God and His Goodness!

Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

Matthew 5:21-22, “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.” ESV

Colossians 3:14-17 “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” ESV

Day 11, Thursday:

Years ago, there was a description of leadership outlined in a book. It described that leaders can easily see who is totally against you, but you can’t easily see who is “kind of” all-in, and those are the ones who are the most dangerous. You see, the ones who are not quite committed to your “plan” are not pointing in the exact same direction. They’re just 1 or 2 degrees off from your trajectory, and while they travel in that slightly off kilter path, they push others with them, slightly derailing, slightly deviating from the plan. Slightly. Barely even noticeable at first!  But when you zoom out, and look at the trajectories, though these people start out at the same point as you, and generally follow the same path as you for a long time, you END UP at totally different places.

Today, we pray for the MEN of our nation. We pray they are led by God to become True Men of God, not slightly off kilter Men of God! The men are the supposed to be the head of the house and the head of the church, which is why satan ATTACKS the men – if he can lead the man astray, he can lead the family astray, and their end location will not be where God had intended, and they miss out on God’s best! Today, we take a stand for our husbands, our dads, our sons, our grandsons, our nephews, our brothers, our brothers-in-law, our uncles, our grandpas, and intercede for God to draw these men to Him!

We pray to BIND ADDICTIONS and BIND THE SLAVERY OF SIN, the misuse of physical strength leading to domestic abuse, so that the Spirit of self-control, peace, and STRENGTH IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD can be released! The Name of Jesus has Power to break chains, to break strongholds, to open prison doors, to set captives free!! We pray freedom over our men, and pray for them to have wisdom and humility to be led by Christ so they can lead us to Him every. single. day!

We declare Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

Titus 3:3-5 “For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,” ESV

Zechariah 4:6 “Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by (human) might, nor by (human) power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” ESV

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Luke 4:18-19 ESV

Day 12, Friday:

Christ is our ultimate example – He teaches us right from wrong, He teaches us love and compassion, He teaches us patiently and gently: tender-hearted, like moms. Today we pray for Women in our nation: our moms, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces, daughters, grandmas, mothers-in-law, and cousins. We pray for them to have a heart for their children and a heart for each other, to demonstrate the love of Christ! To show tender-hearted mercy, to teach one another how to “one another” (love one another, encourage one another, pray for one another – there are a lot of “one anothers” in the Bible)! It’s easy to tear down a woman in slander or gossip. It’s easy to ridicule a woman for any ridiculous reason, especially when someone else is with you doing the same thing. Hate is EASY but LOVE takes courage.

Jesus was crucified for His “courage” and His criminal acts of forgiveness. HE is our Model, our Hero, our Idol, and demonstrates how we ought to love each other: by laying down our desires, our life, for one another.

Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

Titus 2:3-5 “Likewise with the female elders, lead them into lives free from gossip and drunkenness and to be teachers of beautiful things. This will enable them to teach the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children, and to be self-controlled and pure, taking care of their household and being devoted to their husbands. By doing these things the word of God will not be discredited.” TPT

Ephesians 4:29 “And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.” TPT

Psalm 1: 1-2 “What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat. His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light.” TPT

Day 13, Saturday:

Do you remember what life was like before you experienced the life-changing love of Jesus Christ? Do you remember the loneliness? Do you remember the destructive power of your uncontrollable emotions and actions – ruining friendships, ruining your own heart, making you bitter? Do you remember your suspicion of everyone – that no one was genuine or trustworthy? Do you remember the erosion that happened when you were in control of your own life: the chasing after pointless things, pursuing short-term satisfaction leading to long-term pain, dishonesty, hopelessness, and no way to be or do anything different because you were crippled by your powerless ability to save yourself from yourself?

The Bible describes this “old way of life” many different ways, but perhaps one of the most vivid pictures is with bugs! “What the gnawing locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; And what the swarming locust has left, the creeping locust has eaten; And what the creeping locust has left, the stripping locust has eaten.” JOEL 1:4 NASB

Holy Spirit revealed that each type of locust represents deeper sin where we were trapped in our sin. God tried to reveal our mistakes to us, but we ignored Him. So, He sent a gnawing locust to try to get our attention so we would repent and return to Him. Only, we were led again by our own evil desires and God tried to reveal our mistakes to us, but we ignored Him. So He sent a swarming locust to try to get our attention so we would repent and return to Him. Only, we were led farther away from God by our own evil desires… eventually there was nothing left in our lives! WE HIT ROCK BOTTOM!

Here’s another way to see it: lifeguards. Lifeguards are trained to save your life from the pull of gravity: pulling you deeper into water where you’ll either drown or get eaten by a shark (it all depends on where you’re swimming…). Lifeguards are trained that they cannot rescue you until you stop trying to rescue yourself. WHAT?! Apparently, if you’re still trying to rescue yourself, your arms and legs are doing “so much work”, that you are a risk to the lifeguard’s own safety, and the lifeguard trying to save you ends up in the same peril that you’re in!  Lifeguards are trained to swim near, and wait like a vulture until you run out of gas, and then you can be safely brought to shore.

How quickly do you run out of gas? How soon before you hit rock bottom? You can learn a lot about yourself in these moments.  Where you run reveals your true nature. Do you run to food? Do you run to alcohol? Do you run to Our Comforter? God wants us to run to Him! But more than that: He wants us to hit rock bottom and run out of gas sooner, so that we don’t destroy so many things (or people) before we reach for His hand. The faster you hit rock bottom, the faster you can be helped. How long does it take you to run to Jesus instead of drowning in fear? God allows us to get to the end of our strength to give us a choice to follow Him. True Love has no captives. True Love has no slaves. The work we do, we do for the Father, out of love- out of His strength given to us, not our own.

There is even better news: there is a miracle coming!! The RESTORATION of God takes our past, and makes it fruitful: to give us beauty from the ashes we give Him, to restore what we allowed the locusts to destroy! Jesus Christ is our REDEEMER! When we reach out to Him in our destructive behavior, in our sin, He RESTORES what we destroy!!

Today, we pray that the REDEEMING POWER of Christ is poured out like a drink offering over families and identities. We pray to have a shorter rope, to rely on ourselves less! We pray that He restores what the locusts have eaten in our own lives, churches, and nation; and we repent of relying on ourselves for far too long! We believe that we are who God says we are, now what our mistakes say about us. You may have “done that” but you are not “that”!

Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” ESV

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” ESV

Joel 2:25-26 “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” ESV

Romans 6:6-7 “Could it be any clearer that our former identity is now and forever deprived of its power? For we were co-crucified with him to dismantle the stronghold of sin within us, so that we would not continue to live one moment longer submitted to sin’s power. Obviously, a dead person is incapable of sinning.” TPT

Day 14, Sunday:

The final day is here! I pray you’ve drawn closer to Our Father and seen His miraculous wonder over the last 2 weeks. There is fruit!! Our final day of revival, fasting, and prayer is prayer for Sanctification and discipleship in the Name of Jesus Christ!

If you’ve been praying along with us, you may be like me and have difficulty remembering every verse and every detail we’ve prayed for and groaned for, but God has no memory loss AND our prayers NEVER EXPIRE! Have you ever thought of that? What you pray to God never expires. It isn’t like milk: good for 3 weeks, unless you leave it on the counter too long… or like meat: keep it in the freezer until you’re ready for it, then use it when you need it. No, your prayers never expire. Today, we pray that what we have prayed for all along will be shepherded by God. The seeds of prayer that what we have sown as seeds of faith will produce fruit and not fizzle out like a summer sparkler!
